To setup your email address as a IMAP account using SSL in Outlook 2010, start by clicking on File found at the top left of the screen…
…and then the Add Account button.
On the Account setup screen, enter your Name as your would like it to appear, Full Email Address, as well as your Password in the fields provided.
Once this information in entered, select the option to Manually configure server settings… and click on Next.
The option to configure an Internet E-mail account should already be selected, so click Next again.
Your Name and E-Mail Address should already be present in the User Information section. In the Server Information, ensure the type is IMAP, with the Incoming mail server entered as sslmail.execulink.com, and the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) also entered as sslmail.execulink.com. The Logon Information should have your Full Email Address in the User Name field, as well as your Password entered below.
Now, click on More Settings…
On the Outgoing Server tab, place a check mark beside My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Next, click on the Advanced tab. Use the drop down menu to select SSL beside Use the following type of encrypted connection for both the Incoming and Outgoing server. This should change the Incoming Port number to 993, however you will need to manually enter Port number 465 for the Outgoing server. Once this information is entered in full, click OK at the bottom.
You should be back at the Settings screen now, so click on Next at the bottom right of the screen.
At this point Outlook should test the settings you’ve entered to ensure communication with the server. Once this is completed, click on Close.
This completes the Account Setup. Once you click on Finish, Outlook should automatically perform a Send/Receive function and synchronize your IMAP folders.
If you do not have any mail waiting to be downloaded, a good way to test the settings is to send yourself an email. Once you have sent the test message to yourself, click on Send/Receive to expedite the process of Outlook checking for new messages on the mail server.
