WHAT IS FTTH?

Fibre-to-the-Home (or FTTH) is a high-speed internet service that connects from your internet provider’s switching equipment to individual homes through fibre optic lines. Due to its efficiency in providing higher bandwidth to consumers and businesses, FTTH is currently replacing traditional copper coaxial cable lines.

Additional benefits of FTTH include: allowing telecommunication companies to deliver a multitude of digital services (internet, television, home phone, etc.) to customers through the same fibre optic line, and because FTTH runs on a symmetrical connection, FTTH allows downloads and uploads to occur simultaneously with no reduction in speed for all customers.
