Happy International Women’s Day!
Whether you’re a man or a woman, today is the day to take a minute out of your busy life and appreciate the ladies. Today we honour all the moms, sisters, aunts, grandmas, girlfriends, and wives, but we also honour our co-workers, mentors, scientists, politicians, doctors, factory workers, and bloggers (thank you--you’re too kind). Now, more than ever before, being a woman doesn’t just mean one thing. Today, being a woman means we can have the freedom to be many things, all at once. Celebrating that freedom of choice is what today is all about.
Google has commemorated this day with a doodle which asks women from all over the world to complete the sentence “One day I will…” From the very young to the very old, from unknown talents to Nobel Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai, the doodle shows that women everywhere look to their futures and seek the freedom to live their dreams. Follow along or add your own dream with the hashtag #OneDayIWill.
The website International Women’s Day is using the day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and also make a call to action for accelerating gender parity (#PledgeForParity). The campaign asks people from around the world to make the pledge to support global gender equality in the workforce, education, leadership and culture.
Here at Execulink Telecom we are celebrating International Women’s Day by sending a few of our accomplished Execuladies to represent our company at the Women in Communications and Technology Event in London this evening.

The event, hosted by the not-for-profit organization of the same name, is a celebration of women in roles of innovation and technology, and works to empower other women through scholarships, networking, mentorships and inspiration. A few more of us came out to show our support!

Whatever you do today, take a minute and show some support to your ladies at home and at work. Whether you’re a man or a woman, today is about celebrating the hope for global equality in the workforce, at home, and in the world. From all us Execuladies to you and yours, happy International Women’s Day!
