You Deserve Affordable Internet. Period.

It’s not complicated. You deserve to pay affordable prices for Internet, TV and Phone services. But the recent regulatory decision made by the CRTC makes that unachievable for smaller, independent telecoms like us.

Make your voice heard by joining us in letting the government know we will not accept their ruling which benefits only the larger telecom corporations and leaves the rest of us paying (big time) for it.

The Story so Far...

In August 2019, the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) made the decision to lower the rates Internet providers like Execulink Telecom pay to access Internet infrastructure. This was great news for Canadians, and we were excited to offer lower Internet rates to our customers. Unfortunately, the large Internet providers challenged the CRTC’s decision in court.

The final decision came on May 27th, 2021 and the CRTC opted to reverse its decision that was made in 2019. The wholesale rates independent providers like Execulink Telecom pay will not be lowered.

The CRTC requires that the big telephone and cable companies share their networks with smaller independent competitors like us at fair wholesale rates, so that we can offer a competitive, affordable alternative to you, our valued customer. As you have seen over the last year and a half, the Internet has become more important than ever before. It is our view that cost-effective and reliable Internet options are your right.

Taking Action Together

We believe it’s time for the CRTC to enforce its initial ruling to institute fair wholesale rates. In order for that to happen, we must appeal to the Government of Canada to ask that they overturn the CRTC’s decision. This will give Canadians choice and help protect affordable Internet services.

Therefore we have joined with other independent ISPs to launch a formal appeal to the Government of Canada, demanding they support fairer and more affordable Internet prices in Canada.

You can take action with us by visiting the website of the Competitive Network Operators of Canada (CNOC) and using their tool to send an email to your MP. Every voice counts and matters. Help us give you the awesome and affordable experience you deserve.
