Can I use my data to make calls and send messages in the United States?

In February 2022, AT&T shutdown their 3G network in the U.S., which impacted many mobility service providers including Execulink. As a result, traditional voice and text services are no longer available to Mobility customers who rely on a 3G network while roaming in the U.S.

While we are actively working on a solution to provide alternative voice and text services while roaming in the U.S., we understand that our customers need access to these services while travelling. Here are some alternative solutions that you may want to consider:

  • Use a messaging app like WhatsApp, Skype, or Facebook Messenger to communicate with others. These apps use internet data instead of traditional voice and text services, so you can stay in touch without relying on a cellular network.
  • Purchase a local SIM card in the U.S. from a local network provider. This will allow you to access voice and text services on a U.S. network and avoid roaming charges. However, this option requires an unlocked device that is compatible with the U.S. network provider’s technology and may not be practical for short trips.
  • Upgrade to a device that is compatible with 4G LTE or 5G networks before travelling to the U.S. This will allow you to access voice and text services while roaming on the new network technology used by U.S. network providers.
