How to Check Your Mobile Data Usage
Want to keep an eye on how much mobile data you’re using? You can check your usage directly from your phone.
iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Cellular or Mobile Service.
- Scroll down to see your Current Period data usage.
- You can also see how much data each app has used.
Tip: Your iPhone doesn’t automatically reset the Current Period when your billing cycle starts. To track your monthly usage, scroll to the bottom of the Cellular settings and tap Reset Statistics at the start of your billing period.
Android
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & internet or Connections.
- Tap SIMs, Mobile network, or Data usage.
- Look for App data usage or Mobile data usage to see how much data you’ve used.
The exact steps may vary depending on your Android phone and software version.
Want to use less data?
You can also use your phone’s data settings to see which apps are using the most data and adjust their background data or mobile data access.
