How to Change a Device Video Name

Note: Camera names can have a maximum of 16 characters each.

To change a video device name using the Alarm.com app:

1. Log into the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Menu.
3. Tap Manage Devices.
4. In Video Devices, tap More.
5. Tap Rename Device.
6. In the Rename Device field, enter the new name.
7. Tap Ok.

To change a video device name using the Alarm.com customer website:

1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the video device to be edited.
5. Click Video Device Info.
6. In the Video Device Name field, enter the new name.
7. Click Save.
