Adjust the camera triggered clip length setting

The camera triggered clip length determines the preferred size of recorded clips. Camera-triggered clips are uploaded based on recording rules.

For more information about available recording methods, see Recording Video and Change a camera’s Video Analytics settings.

Video Analytics rules

A Video Analytics recorded clip is always approximately 30 seconds regardless of what the camera-triggered clip length setting is set to. For more information about Video Analytics, see Change a camera’s Video Analytics settings.

Note: Video Analytics clips for the ADC-VDB780B are the exception to this, and will be 20 seconds long.

To adjust the camera-triggered clip length:

Note: This setting does not apply to ’25, ’26, ’36 series cameras, doorbell cameras, or any Video Analytics rules.

  1. Log into the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the video device to be edited.
