1. How long have you worked at Execulink and what are your daily activities?
I’ve been part of the Execulink team for 16 years now. My team is a mixture of store fronts and Sales so that means we’re talking on the phone, sending emails, and out in the community speaking with our neighbours. My day to day is a balance of moving the business forward, supporting my team and colleagues and advocating on behalf of the customer experience! But if you ask my team, they jokingly refer to me as the ‘chaos coordinator’ because I wear several different hats throughout the day.
2. What do you hope to achieve in your role in the upcoming year?
Strathroy is the newest addition to my team and I’m super focused on getting our permanent office location up and running. It’s our largest Fibre build to date, which is really exciting and I know that we’re going to be able to help a lot of people out. The Strathroy community has been so welcoming and supportive and I can’t wait to give that back 10-fold. Go Rockets go!
3. Can you describe your journey leading up to your current position?
My journey kicked off in Residential sales at our Kitchener office, and I stuck with it even as I moved over to our new head office in Woodstock. When we started rolling out Fibre in Norfolk County, I transitioned into a new Sales role based in Delhi. Then, we introduced this awesome new department, and I jumped into the role of Community Sales, focusing on Oxford County, especially Tillsonburg, Woodstock, and Ingersoll. Our team was really hitting its stride, and I got to lead several training classes, which I absolutely loved. As things kept growing, I took all that hands-on experience into a leadership role and I’ve been a Community Sales Supervisor for over 5 years now, overseeing teams in Woodstock, Thedford, and Strathroy.
4. How do you ensure that your sales team represents Execulink Telecom’s values and commitment to the community in their interactions?
Lead by example and never shy away from rolling up your sleeves and getting in there with your team. Building the values into our every day is key, so it’s a continuous journey of learning and growing together. We use them for crafting customer solutions, making team decisions and overcoming challenges. Once you use them as part of your every day, it becomes second nature.
5. How do you stay informed about the evolving needs and preferences of the community you serve?
I spend time in each office and community regularly so that I can engage with the public directly. Being curious by nature, really helps. I like to ask questions, explore the towns in my territory and stay connected with the locals. Get to your know neighbours!!
