Execulink Donates to Coldest Night of the Year

(Woodstock, ON) February 20th, 2023 – Execulink Telecom, the Woodstock-based telecommunications provider who is commitment to supporting its local communities, has made its second 2023 community donation to the Coldest Night of the Year initiative in Woodstock.
The Walk, founded 12 years ago in Kitchener-Waterloo, is now held in 182 Canadian cities coast-to-coast. Each city raises funds to support homelessness and poverty in its community, with over $57 million collectively raised since inception. The Woodstock Coldest Night of the Year event donates to Operation Sharing who operate and fund The Inn of Oxford and a new addition Inn Out of the Cold Shelter in Tillsonburg (opening soon).
“As we approach our third annual Coldest Night of the Year here in Woodstock, the results continue to astound and amaze,” says Event Director Scott McKague. “Woodstock is consistently in the top 10 locations in Canada (and now also the US) in number of Teams, number of walkers and funds raised. CNOY funds have been imperative to Operation Sharing’s growth in Woodstock and now into Tillsonburg as well as a second emergency shelter is set to open. Most importantly, CNOY funds have allowed Operation Sharing to realize their 24-hour model, so no resident in Oxford County need be outside in the cold any longer. With this solid foundation in place, future fundraising dollars can continue to help support, and heal those who are hungry, hurting and homeless in Oxford county.”

As of February 20th, 365 walkers on 75 teams registered online, with the support of sponsors like Execulink bolstering the contributions to the tune of nearly $123,000 raised this year alone and over $400,000 since inception three years ago for Operation Sharing.
